As you probably already know Leukaemia Foundation will be the official charity partner for our inaugural Australian event and that 2016 Rio Olympic cyclist Matt Glaetzer has also signed on as an ambassador for the Leukemia Foundation. We are thilled to announce that Matt will be taking on the 24 hour cycling challenge when it hits The Bend Motorsport Park in January 2018.
Here at Revolve24 Australia we hope to raise in excess of $500,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation through riders' individual fundraising - we’re encouraging all riders involved in the event to reach out through their networks and fundraise to support Australians with Blood cancer. We’ve just opened for registrations and have already have over 200 people express interest in taking on the challenge. We’re anticipating over 1,000 riders to take part in the event so are hoping to raise around $500,000.
Matt Glaetzer says “Revolve24 will be one of the first events to take place at The Bend so I’m really excited to be joining other riders to test out the track before they even hold a car event there. The Leukaemia Foundation is the only national charity dedicated to helping more Australians with blood cancers survive and live a better quality of life and I couldn't e prouder to be raising funds through Revolve24.”
"The foundation is proud to be involved with Revolve24, which encourages riders of all skill levels to get active and fundraise to support our ital work," Simon Matthias, Leukaemia Foundation General Manager SANT said.
"We're encouraging people to sign up for the challenge online and choosing to make every kilomatre count by fundraising for the Leukaemia Foundation."
